Partial Letter to My 30 Day Challenge Students
Day #30! You did it!
It is hard to believe that this challenge is coming to an end! 30 days sure does go quickly when you are having fun!
Seriously, I hope that you all enjoyed this challenge as much as I enjoyed doing it!
Thank you to all of you for being part of my experiment! I started this challenge to see if I would like to expand the business that I have had for thirteen years to beyond the fours walls at the studio.
I started the challenge unsure of what direction I wanted to go. I was also unsure of exactly how it would all unfold.
The feedback that I heard from many of you during the challenge helped me to build my confidence in continuing on with the outreach beyond the studio. I am so grateful to know that I have helped some of you embrace pilates; and that, as a result, you feel stronger, more confident, more toned, etc.
Moving forward, I intend to continue to do something that I have been trying to do for my 26 years as a fitness professional; inspire people to make exercise a part of their daily (or almost lives) AND enjoy doing it.
Of course, even though I am moving forward with this new venture, I will still be teaching at the studio. But now, I hope to to be able to help build a community of people outside the studio too. 🙂 (Those of you who attend my studio know, we pride ourselves on our classes and our community.)
I intend to put a lot of work into building this community, to help anyone who is interested along their pilates path. (I have 26 years of experience as a fitness professional, and 13 years of experience as a fitness studio owner. My expertise as a college IT professor has helped me to begin the building of this virtual community.) I have already created new videos for a new 30 day challenge, using the pilates ring/fitness circle. In addition, I have also created some 25 minute “focused” pilates mat videos. (ie. one is focused on core, one is focused on legs, one is focused on arms).
Obviously, I am just getting started, and I intend to add much more content as I go.
This is where all of you come in! As a thank you to all of you for being part of the beta test, I would like to offer you a low cost membership into this community. As founding members, you would be able to suggest content that would be most useful to you.
If you join now, as a thank you for being part of this “beta test,” you would be locked in at the initial pricing as a thank you. (As I put more time into it, I will have to raise the price but the price increase will only apply for new members. You will be locked in.)
I actually have a lot of exciting things already planned and ready to go for this community. (These perks and benefits are all listed at the new membership website at http://membership.doingpilatesathome.com/ I also included a screenshot of the “bones” of the current content.) Plus, the community’s grand opening will be next Wednesday, 7/25/17. (I will also start the next 30 day challenge for interested members on this date. The challenge will be using the pilates ring/magic circle. Some exercises will be familiar, but simply add difficulty via the ring/circle. Other exercises in the challenge will be brand new to you!)
I hope that you consider giving me the honor to continue to share my 26 years of experience with you and let me continue to be your virtual teacher. If you are interested, please click the Membership Account link at doingpilatesathome.com The founding member price is literally only pennies per day!
